The guys on SportsCenter don’t get duped very often, but Scott Van Pelt got smoked on air this week. During a live broadcast, SVP was interviewing Brian Westbrook on the phone, or so he thought. Van Pelt was getting reaction from Westbrook about being released by Philadelphia.
After an awkward exchange, Captain Janks revealed that it wasn’t really Brian Westbrook and referenced his boss, Howard Stern. Van Pelt looked shocked and and didn’t have much to say in his toes, “Oh boy, we got that huh?”
I have a sense somebody in the SportsCenter booth lost their job this week. Check out the video here…
