“This is not a joke, I will hurt him” – Herschel Walker on fighting Jose Canseco

Last weekend was Herschel Walker’s MMA debut, and he dominated Hungarian fighter, Greg Nagy. The fight was stopped in the third round (check out the video below) in favor of Walker. Nobody really knew what to expect from Walker, who is now 47 years-old, because this was his first professional fight. Walker proved a lot of naysayers wrong and now people have to take him seriously as a bona fide MMA contender.

Sure, he may not stand a chance against the UFC’s top talent, but Jose Canseco?

This week ,Jose “the media-whore” Canseco, suggested that he should fight Walker in an MMA bout. Obviously Canseco is broke, again, and it would be an easy way for the two of them to make some easy clam. Canseco thinks it’s a brilliant idea, but Walker doesn’t share Jose’s enthusiasm.

“Jose wants to do this for money,” Walker said Wednesday on a Dallas radio station. “My thing is, if he wants to fight me and he thinks it’s going to be a circus, I will hurt him. This is not a joke, I will hurt him, because I don’t do things as a joke. I don’t do this as entertainment. If we go out and play a flag football game, that’s entertainment. We’re having fun. But this MMA fighting is real. You can get hurt, and he doesn’t understand it. I do this as an MMA fighter, not as a joke.”

I don’t think I’m alone in saying I would pay money to watch Herschel Walker hurt Jose Canseco. Canseco is a bona fide piece of shit, and I would thoroughly enjoy watching Walker pummel his face, break his arm and choke him out. I say, let it happen!
