Classic MMA Fights – Frye vs Takayama

Author: Junior

In an effort to help support the growth of MMA, SportsBore.com will be bringing you some of the most bad ass, brutal and technical fights from all of the premier MMA promotions. This week we feature a fight between Don “The Predator” Frye and Yoshihiro Takayama. Frye ends up winning the bout after six minutes and change by TKO, but the real action happens in the first couple minutes of the fight… These two monsters go at it holding each other with one hand and bashing each other with the other. We ought to sign these savages up for X-ARM.

If you’re wondering who the man behind that familiar Netherlander voice at the broadcasting desk is, it’s none other than ex-MMA champion and full-time goofball, Bas Rutten. If you’ve got 6 minutes to waste you can check him out after the jump in a classic viral video where Bas teaches self-defense in a bar… “Somebody’s telling me that about my wife…?  I’m sorry sir, but I’m going to break your leg.”

  4. [...] After several appearances in the UFC, Frye fought in several other organizations including Pride FC, K-1 and the IFL. In one of the most memorable fights in MMA history, Frye battled Yoshihiro Takayama in Pride 21. Frye was was well into his 40’s and Yoshihiro was the much bigger man, standing 6′5″ and weighing 253 lbs. But age and size did not deter Frye from exchanging blows with Takayama in what is arguabley the most exciting single round in MMA history (click here to see the video). [...]

Need to say that I think this has been a totally fantastic article. I’ve truly always loved MMA fights and it really is so nice to see a blog that takes Mma to this level. I’ve just lately begun to get into Mma lessons myself and I’m really intending to achieve at the very least a touch reasonably competitive with it. Not really seeking to step in to a ring or whatever like that though! Any kind of information about just what I ought to be working on to do well. In any case, do continue to keep up the great work with this internet site and the awesome articles.

  11. This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like ‘Mixview’ that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you’re listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of “neighbors” will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune “Social” is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.
