There doesn’t seem to be a dominant team in NCAA hoops this year… and I love it. The Opening Round of March Madness is only a month away (March 16th to be exact) so we thought now was a good time to start paying attention to college basketball (let’s face it, for the most part, the college basketball regular season blows).
Last Saturday Kentucky played Vanderbilt, which usually isn’t news worthy. But on this particular day the Wildcats had a special guest-fan sitting court-side… LeBron James. So what is the connection between James and Kentucky?
On Monday, Kentucky, the only remaining undefeated team left in college basketball, was ranked #1 for the first time since 2003. John Calipari and his young squad were flying high and with a weak SEC, it looked like the Wildcats might make it deep into February with an unblemished record.
