Krzyzewskiville – Revisited

Last week I wrote a post titled, “Nerd Heaven – Krzyzewskiville.” The post was a big hit with our readers and I had fun learning about Krzyzewskiville and the history behind the Cameron Crazies. To be clear, the facts in the post were accurate. There really is a cluster of exactly 100 tents.

The tradition really did start in 1986, when Kimberly Reed, and her friends, decided to camp out in line at Cameron Indoor Stadium days before the UNC game to get tickets. Krzyzewskiville truly is a formalized entity that is regulated by Duke Student Government, with the Head Line Monitor overseeing the activities.
