Yesterday champions were crowned in two sports, but none of it had to do with football or basketball, so we'll just mash it all together and fill you in.
Real Salt Lake won the MLS Championship last night, almost completely discrediting soccer in the States as they became the first team with a losing record to win the championship. You know in some sports the teams that are miserable throughout the entire regular season don't even get to play in the playoffs… Consider it. None the less the gang at the Bore tip our hats to the fellas from Salt Lake, congrats on the "W" ya' bunch of scrubs!
Also interrupting NFL highlights on SportsCenter last night was NASCAR crowning it's 2009 champion, Jimmie Johnson. Johnson did what no man has done before, winning four straight Sprint Cup Championships. It truly is an incredible feat as 29 competitive cars race week in and week out, yet four years in a row now the ol' number 48 car has finished a head above the rest of the field. Jimmie, you really are the greatest high-speed, left-turning S.O.B. to ever walk the planet, booya!
If only the Westminster Dog Show had crowned their champion last night, we coulda' got all this shit taken care of and outta' the way in one evening.

awesome
haha i agree eric, that is awesome
lol @ poor jimmie johnson. may be THE MOST DOMINANT ATHLETE in sports right now, but doesnt get no love
Poor Jimmie Johnson? The guys a multi-millionare, has a hot wife and the best team in NASCAR history. Sure he’s talented but he’s a) not an athlete and b) his team deserves 80% of the credit. Would Kyle Busch dominate in the 48 car? Absolutely.
Vic-Lane-89: Most of these drivers have workout routines that would impress even the best “real” athletes. Mark Martin has a workout regime that would exhaust a fit 20 yr old, and it gave him the stamina to race 500 miles (or so) every week in the heat.
Chad Knause is a genius and the best crew chief out there today. Many drivers would succeed with Chad, but only a great driver could win one championship with Chad. Jimmy is a great driver with a great team.
I hear you Jersey girl.. I’m sure that old fart is in better shape than me! But, I’m also sure that if I played him in basketball, tennis or any sport other than darts and golf he’d quit because I’d dominate him. And I’m no professional athlete!
