After being stripped of her 5 Olympic medals and put in a federal prison for admitting to steroid use (come on guys… you knew that wasn’t just a milk-moustache) and a role in a check-fraud scam, disgraced American sprinter Marion Jones began her comeback story yesterday joining the Tulsa Shock of the WNBA.
Those confused by the move should know Marion was the starting point guard on North Carolina’s 1994 national championship squad and was drafted by Phoenix in 2003, though she would never make her hardwood debut.
Now, seven years and a couple prison tats later, Jones is ready to compete again. Coming back to the professional level at 34-years-old will likely prove difficult for the Olympic vixen, so give me a call if ya need some juice Marion…
Best of luck to Miss Jones on her comeback journey, we’ll be watching (the SportsCenter highlights)!
