Ex-ESPN analyst, ex-NFL quarterback and ex-respected member of society, Sean Salisbury, has finally admitted to snapping photos of his junk at a Connecticut bar in 2006 and distributing them with his phone. A couple things strike me in this story. First, I’ve never been to Connecticut, but it sounds like a riot. Second, it startles me that this isn’t the first story we’ve written this week about a sports figure getting all sorts of sexy in a self-imposed photo shoot…

Maybe Oden and Salisbury can make an “It’s a Dick in a Text” duet and turn this whole PR mess around for themselves.

In a 2008 interview Salisbury was asked if the story was even “remotely true” and gave this response:

I haven’t addressed it because it’s so absurd and such a bald-faced lie from what the speculation is out there from media outlets and Internet and bloggers that hop on and want to beat you up because they don’t like my opinion in football. It never happened.

Here’s what he’s saying now:

I was ashamed, and I didn’t want to say anything. I thought it would go away and let my ego get in the way. Since then, I’ve beat myself up about it more than 10 baseball bats could. A stupid mistake can cost you, and this has really cost me. I should have been having this conversation a long time ago.

Glad you finally grew up and came clean Salisbury, now go take away your kids’ internet so they don’t find out what a naughty old man you are.
