Jayson Williams Sentenced to 5 Years

Author: Junior

In a hearing today former NBA star Jayson Williams was sentenced to 5 years in prison after shooting and killing a hired limo driver in 2002. Williams pleaded guilty to aggravated assault and will be eligible for parole in 18 months.

The saga has continued through court for the past 8 years, though Williams finally began serving his time today after a tear filled expression of sorrow. He said that he was a good person but that he “did bad that day.” Which is apparently his way of saying “sorry I killed that dude” (it should also be noted that Williams gave the family $2 million in 2003 for retribution). None the less it seemed more genuine than Tiger’s 13-minute long “sorry for banging all those chicks” speech last week.

Good luck to Jayson Williams the next year and a half and try not to drop the soap.

Where are you guys on this one Bore nation, does Jayson Williams have a shot at being a redemption story? Let us know what you think in the comments section below!
