Daily Tidbits

Author: Junior

-Gilbert Arenas has been charged with a felony for his “practical joke” (not much practical about pulling a gun on your friend in the ‘burbs I grew up in) which lead to his eventual suspension.  He faces a maximum 5 years in prison.  Not so funny now, huh Gilb…

-Will Muschamp turned down a “lucrative” offer which would have made him head football coach at Tennessee and will instead remain as the Longhorns’ head coach-in-waiting.  Proving it’s better to be the bride’s maid than the bride so long as the groom has an unsightly deformity, or in this case a weak offense in a gauntlet division.

-Skip Holtz, son of adored goofball Lou Holtz, will be leaving East Carolina to become head coach at South Florida. Holtz will be replacing ex-USF coach Jim Leavitt, who was fired in the beginning of the month for grabbing one of his players by the throat and slapping him.  The news bummed out Leavitt as he’d just made a New Years resolution to stop treating his players like that Shamwow guy treats his prostitutes.
