Turner, Ohio State Defeat 6th Ranked Purdue

Author: Junior

Last night the Ohio State Buckeyes up ended the 6th ranked Purdue Boilermakers with a 70-66 victory.  In Evan Turner’s third game back from injury he scored a career-high 32 points, 23 of which came in the second half.  He also knocked down 14 of the Buckeye’s final 18 points in the game and gathered up 9 rebounds throughout the evening.

The Boilermakers were off to a hot start in the first half with Robbie Hummel tying a school-record 8 made 3-pointers.  He would finish with 35 points after scoring 29 in the first.  Too bad they don’t make 4-pointers, Robbie, maybe it could have been enough to win…

With Evan Turner back healthy and playing at his best the Buckeyes are proving they may be a force to reckon with come March.
