Last Wednesday night, Marcus Jordan, son of basketball legend Michael Jordan, took to the hardwood for The University of Central Florida rocking his pops brand new Air Jordans. The only problem with the shoes is that Central Florida athletics are in their 5th and final year of a contract with Adidas, a partnership that had been pleasant until now. After Wednesday night’s game Adidas released a statement to CNBC saying, “The University of Central Florida has chosen not to deliver on their contractual commitment to Adidas. As a result, we have chosen not to continue our relationship with them moving forward.” Adidas and UCF were working on an extension to their contract, and although athletic officials at UCF claim they haven’t heard anything official about the termination of the contract, it seems imminent.

Now lets be honest, Adidas haven’t been cool since 86′, and I’ve got a hunch that a certain someone is gonna’ get the University a new sponsor. Don’t sweat it Marcus, you’ll be the most popular guy in the locker room when everyone’s rocking gear with a swoosh.
