(Yeah… We should have seen this coming)
Yet another world class athlete has been caught puffing the magic dragon. Tim Lincecum, pitching ace for the San Francisco Giants and 2008 Cy Young Award winner, turned over 3.3 grams of marijuana and a pipe when a cop detected the scent while citing Lincecum for a speeding violation. Lincecum was pulled over in his Mercedes going 74 mph on a 60 mph limit highway in Washington. Poor guy was probably just ripping his one hitter and jammin’ out to The Chronic until the boys in blue had to spoil things. It was recently announced that prosecutors in Clark County, Wash., and Lincecum have come to an agreement that will allow the pitcher to pay a $250 fine for possession of a smoking pipe and have the drug possession charges dropped. Lincecum is expected to get a pay raise this off season that will bring his salary close to the $10 million mark, so basically that’s like prosecutors asking this crazy lady for a bar of soap. Ride easy, Tim.
